Steven Pressley got off to a winning start as Carlisle manager as his side moved up to fourth with a 2-0 win against Cheltenham.

Jamie Devitt turned in a cross from Regan Slater to put the Cumbrians ahead early in the second half and they added a second shortly afterwards through Hallam Hope's composed finish.

Third-placed Mansfield came from two goals down to beat Colchester 3-2 at the Community Stadium.

Tom Eastman fired Colchester in front following a goalmouth scramble in the 14th minute and Courtney Senior made it two on the half-hour with a fine solo effort.

Nicky Ajose pulled a goal back for the Stags after 51 minutes, heading home at the back post, and it was all square 13 minutes later when Tyler Walker converted a pass from Jorge Grant. The comeback was complete with 11 minutes remaining when CJ Hamilton fired in an Ajose cross.

Leaders Lincoln ran out 1-0 winners over county rivals Grimsby in the early kick-off at Sincil Bank.

Harry Toffolo's 20-yard volley proved the difference between the two sides, with the Mariners' misery compounded 14 minutes from time when goalkeeper James McKeown received his marching orders for a foul on debutant Danny Rowe.

The Alex, who have the worst away record in League Two, scored the only goal after 32 minutes when Charlie Kirk fired home from the edge of the box.

At the bottom, Notts County fell further adrift as goals from Tom James and Mihai Dobre earned Yeovil a 2-0 victory, while Macclesfield came from a goal down to beat Oldham 2-1.

Spanish striker Urko Vera scored a penalty in the first minute of his debut to get Latics off to a flying start, but Harry Smith equalised with the last kick of the first half.

Scott Wilson completed a turnaround with the Silkmen's second with a neat chipped finish, with Oldham's Mohammed Maouche sent off in stoppage time.

Highlights of the Sky Bet League Two game between Cambridge and Northampton

Morecambe fell to a last-gasp 2-1 defeat at home to Stevenage, with Luke Wilkinson snatching the winner deep into time added on.

There was also late drama at the Abbey Stadium as David Amoo grabbed a winner for Cambridge at the death to sink Northampton 3-2.

The Cobblers led twice through Aaron Pierre and Junior Morias, but Jevani Brown, who later missed a penalty, pulled one back and a George Taft header had levelled for the U's.
