Young Aston Villa forward wanted on loan by EFL quartet

As many as four English Football League clubs are thought to want to sign Aston Villa youngster Callum O’Hare on loan according to reports from Pete O’Rourke on Football Insider.

The 20-year-old Solihull born attacker has made just one senior appearance for Villa this season in the Emirates FA Cup and the player is in desperate need of regular first team football.

It has been reported that O’Hare is being chased by at least four clubs who would like to sign the player on loan during the current transfer window. Sky Bet League One duo Bristol Rovers and Burton Albion are said to be keen on the striker while Sky Bet League Two pair Exeter City and Mansfield Town are also thought to be ready to battle for the player’s signature.

O’Hare is a product of the Aston Villa academy system and the player has successfully made the step up to the first team squad. The forward was handed his senior debut in the first round of last season’s Carabao Cup as Aston Villa won 2-1 at Colchester United. The player went on to make seven further appearances for Villa last term in both league and cup.

The attacker’s only first team outing this season came earlier this month as Villa lost 3-0 at home to Sky Bet Championship rivals Swansea City in the Emirates FA Cup.
